Samsung Galaxy Note 10 No physical buttons or headphone jack
Like all Samsung flagships, the subject of numerous leaks and rumors was also Note 10. One of the recent leaks, from a source familiar with the plans of the company, revealed that in its upcoming Galaxy Note 10, Samsung will remove the headphone jack and physical volume and power buttons.
Samsung’s Note series has always been experimented with, tinkering with its design or adding new features to test them out on the market. Instead, this time it takes features away.
Headphone Jack Ditching
In their premium phones, most smartphone manufacturers including Google, OnePlus, Huawei, Apple, Xiaomi, and Oppo have dug the headphone jacks.
Samsung is the only one left in its premium phones that still adds headphone jacks. This is one of the reasons that some fans of Samsung stuck with their phones. However, in her upcoming flagship, Samsung has decided to join the bandwagon and ditch the headphone jack. It’s just a matter of time when even mid-rangers completely dissolve the headphone jack.
Ditching the jack will give more volume to Samsung for improved battery capacity, increased dust and moisture resistance. In addition, the source also confirmed rumors that Note 10 will be available in two (small and large) sizes.
No Physical Keys
The buttons are allegedly replaced by textured, pressure-sensitive bumps along the edges in Note 10. We are brought back to HTC U12+ with its faux buttons that were a complete disaster with the idea of a buttonless phone. It seems, however, that Samsung has been thinking about the concept and improving it enough to incorporate it into its flagship.
Theoretically, buttons are a potential failure and the overall quality of the device will be improved if eliminated. The cutouts in the unibody aluminum frames are regarded as their weakest parts, which means that manufacturers can not move on to thinner and lighter frames. Removing the buttons will give the edge to Samsung without compromising the rigidity of the structure.
Looking at the history, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is most likely to be unveiled this year in August.
